My Story
From a young age, Christie Motz only ever wanted to do two things: teach kindergarten and be an author. Growing up, you could always find her filling journals with stories, babysitting neighborhood children, and leading summer camps. After high school, she attended Ohio University in Athens, Ohio, where she received her bachelor's degree in early childhood education and a reading endorsement for grades K-12. She spent nine happy years teaching kindergarten at the Mason Early Childhood Center in Mason, Ohio, before leaving to stay at home as a mom to her three children: Teddy, Jack, and Anna. She has always been enthralled with the process of reading and igniting excitement in children about books, and she is so grateful to have shared her first book with the world. She currently lives in Mariemont, Ohio, with her husband, children, and lovable dog Otis.
